That was me March of 2008. I was overweight, my BMI was 38, my cholesterol
was 289, I smoked cigarettes and I had sleep apnea. I knew if I didn’t do something I would soon have health problems that would shorten my life. I was also very depressed about my weight and the fact that I was not able to quit smoking. I had tried numerous times to quit smoking, I would quit for awhile and gain weight, then start smoking because I was eating too much and become more depressed about my weight. My sleep apnea could have caused
heart and circulatory problems. I needed help!!!
I read an ad in our local newspaper about a Lap Band seminar and was pleased to see that Dr. Ginsburg was performing the procedure as he was my surgeon. I went to the seminar and knew that this was what I needed to do. I made an appointment and Dr. Ginsburg and his staff took care of everything. I was
approved by my insurance company and had my Lap Band procedure in July
Since that time, I have transformed into a new person! Prior to the Lap Band procedure, I quit smoking with the help of treatment and medication prescribed by a pulmonologist. I now water ski again and participate in many other sports that I have not been able to enjoy for years. One of my greatest accomplishments, since the Lap Band, has been achieving certification as a scuba diver. I feel 20 years younger. I am so happy now, I love life and I feel great. I know I will live a lot longer and will be a healthier person thanks to
Dr. Ginsburg and the Lap Band.
